Håkan and Ian spent a busy four days in Singapore this month during the Singapore Yacht Show. As well as a couple of days walking the show and some very fruitful meetings with clients on Saturday and Sunday, final details were also worked out on the exciting news that Derani Yachts are the new Sales & Service representative for Fleming Yachts, covering Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

On the Monday following the Singapore Yacht Show, Derani Yachts represented Thailand at the regional Fairline Dealer meeting which was a great success. The “Fairline family” in Asia was well represented with the dealers from Singapore, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, China, New Zealand and India in attendance. The dealers from Australia and Japan were unfortunately unable to attend due to other boat show commitments.
The CEO of Fairline, Mr. Colin Sykes and Adam Waters, the Regional Sales Director for Asia Pacific were on hand to brief the delegates on the exciting news of the arrival of the first Fairline Squadron 48 into the region, the finalisation of the design for the new Fairline Targa and Squadron 53 yachts and explain Fairlines plans for the coming year.
The meeting was a great opportunity to get to know the fellow dealers in the region and exchange ideas on the best way to collaborate and work together. Feedback on the new direction Fairline worldwide was moving in and improvements that they as dealers would like to see were well received by Colin and Adam. Following the meeting the delegates met for dinner and the chance to exchange ideas in a less formal atmosphere.
