This 2006 Broom 50 OS is one of just 21 boats built in Brundall, England and features an enclosed pilothouse design, with full walk round teak decks, and an open, but well shaded, raised aft cockpit with seating around a good-sized dining table. On the transom there is an electric Simpson Cantilever Davit for the Highfield 2.9 metre dinghy with 6hp Suzuki four stroke outboard, as well as two transom mounted boarding ladders.
The interior layout features a large deck saloon incorporating lounge and dining seating on the same level, with steps down to the forward galley. There is a large aft master cabin with a central double bed, lots of storage and separate head and shower compartments. Just forward of the galley is a twin cabin with storeroom that could be converted to a small head and in the bow is a double guest cabin and en-suite that also serves as the day head.
This Broom 50 OS is fitted with twin Caterpillar C12 715hp inboard diesel engines which have just 1,200 hours recorded. Transom mounted silencers discharge engine exhaust underwater, greatly improving sound proofing. At full speed she can touch 30 knots and cruises at 25 knots using just 200 litres per hour for a range of over 250 nautical miles with 10% reserve. Her slow cruise at 9 knots uses just 30 litres per hour for a range exceeding 600 miles. The four independent aircon units are powered by a Fisher Panda 11kw generator which has 1,600 hours recorded.
Owned by the same family since new and meticulously cared for this 50-foot yacht has huge interior volume and comfortable outdoor spaces.
