It is with great pleasure that Derani Yachts can confirm that foreign yachts visiting Thailand will once again be able to enjoy a six month initial period of stay which can be extended by another six months without the yacht having to leave Thai waters.
This replaces the previous ruling where yachts could extend the initial six months stay by only four months, with a further extension of two months only in very special circumstances. This will no doubt be welcome news to the many foreign flagged vessels that visit the area annually.
There is also the possibility that there may be a chance to extend this one year entry visa by up to a further year which will certainly we great news for the Thailand boating industry.
