The Fountaine Pajot Cumberland 46 is one of the best long range power catamarans on the market. This model is the owner version with the port hull being one very large ensuite cabin with a door from the shower leading forward to a small store/workshop and forward of that is a wet room for hanging scuba gear. There are also two double ensuite cabins in the starboard hull and in the starboard forepeak is a storage area which could be used as a crew cabin.
This Cumberland 46 is very roomy for her size with good boarding steps on both sides leading to an expansive cockpit with room for rinse bins for dive gear or other water sport activities. Circular steps lead from the cockpit to a large and well shaded flybridge with hardtop bimini and solar panels above. There is a large dining table plus other lounges to port. There is also lots of room on the foredeck for entertaining. The large lounge has a full galley, dining table to starboard and lounges around the central helm.
She is fitted with twin Volvo D6, 330HP engines connected to shaft drives which give her a top speed of 25 knots and a comfortable 17 knots cruising speed with a range of 300 nautical miles. At low speed she can cruise for 500 miles. An Onan 9.5 Kw genset powers the onboard systems including full tropical air con, a Bauer Poseidon PE100 dive compressor and a 60 litre per hour dual voltage watermaker.
This is a fine example of one of the best power catamarans in this class. She is French registered under a private name with VAT paid in France should the new owner wish to take her back there. Otherwise, Langkawi registration can easily be arranged.
